Frequently Asked Questions
Is Mindology Fitness like Yoga?
Mindology Fitness is NOT Yoga. However, there are some similarities. Mindology Fitness is similar to yoga in the sense that it creates feel-good hormones that greatly enhance our life experiences. Mindology Fitness differs from yoga in the sense that it focuses specifically on current life problem resolutions, emotion regulation, and creating future ways of being that immediately transform disempowering thoughts. These mindfulness therapy exercises help to minimize depression and stimulate brain function. There is one krya yoga posture included in the workout program and patrons are invited to relax into child's pose during the meditation section - if that position feels more comfortable for them.
Why do we highly recommend you wear ALL white or light grey during your Mindology Fitness session?
The design of Mindology Fitness includes elements of color therapy. From an energetic and psychological perspective, white is a color of wholeness, completion and new beginnings - all consistent with the intended results of a Mindology Fitness class. White also represents the creation of a clean slate (mind) that represents purity, wholeness and completion.
Why do we recommend having a blanket or shawl during your Mindology Fitness session?
During class, participants activate their heart's intelligence with the use of a science based HeartMath technique. This stress relief technique can change their physiology from a "fight-or-flight" stimulated state to one of calm and clarity. The end result is a decrease in stress hormone production with a resultant decrease in blood pressure and heart rate. This decrease in blood pressure often drops the body temperature as well - in which case, a warm blanket enhances this elated experience.
